Foxborough Boys' Basketball Clinch Tournament Bid

Warriors make the most of their second chance by defeating O'Bryant.

The Foxborough boys' basketball team clinched a spot in the MIAA Division 3 South Sectional Tournament today by beating O'Bryant, 52-50.

The Stars: The Foxborough boys' varsity basketball team took care of business today against O'Bryant. Foxborough's leading scorer, Nick Couroupacis, led their offensive attack, helping Foxborough to maintain their lead over O'Bryant throughout the game. 

The Turning Point: The second half of the game was a true team effort from Foxborough. Foxborough senior center, Jimmy Morse, came off of the bench explosive, rebounding for four points within the first minute.  Morse and Couroupacis continued their streak of big plays in the second half and Foxborough's team defense was strong, holding the lead over O'Bryant by an average of eight points in the third half.

The Outcome: The energy in Foxborough's gymnasium was set at high. The game came down to the last nine seconds with the score set at 52-50, with Foxborough in the lead. Even though they fought hard, O'Bryant couldn't match Foxborough's intensity and offensive execution.
