Foxborough's Population Increases 3.81%, Census Shows

Foxborough's population grew 3.81 percent from 2000.

The town of Foxborough saw it's population grow 3.81 percent from 16,246 in 2000 to 16,865 in 2010 according to numbers released by the U.S. Census Bureau March 22.

Foxborough's growth reflected a trend in the area, with most towns seeing a slight increase in population, including Plainville (7.56%), Franklin (7.02%), Mansfield (3.44%) and Sharon (1.17%).

Stoughton (-0.69%), Brockton (-0.52%) and Taunton (-0.18%) all saw slight population decreases.

According to the data by the U.S. Census Bureau, the average Foxborough household consists of 2.63 people. The average family consists of 3.17 people. Foxborough's median family income is $107,621.

The number of caucasians living in Foxborough is the highest out of any race. According to the data, 95.9 percent of Foxborough residents are caucasians, 0.9 percent of residents are black or African American and 2.2 percent of residents are Asian.
