Foxboro High School Jazz Ensemble Kicks off the Summer Concert Season

Foxboro Jaycess' 'Concert on the Common' series kicked off last night with the FHS Jazz Ensemble.

Summer concert season officially kicked off last night, June 16, on the town common.

Each summer, the Foxboro Jaycees present a series of free concerts on the common Thursday nights between 7:00-9:00pm. 

On Thursday, June 16, the Foxboro High School Jazz Ensemble, sponsored by Patriot Place, performed live on the common. The Foxboro High School Jazz Ensemble is one of the premiere high school jazz bands in New England.

The Foxboro High School Jazz Ensemble has received Gold Medals in Massachusetts jazz band festivals for 22 years. The ensemble is directed by Stephen C. Massey, with assistant director George Murphy.

The ensemble has recorded 3 record albums and three CD’s. The group performs all of the major styles in the big band jazz tradition.
