Flood Watch in Effect for Foxborough

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Foxborough through this evening.

The issued a flood watch for several counties in Massachusetts, including Norfolk County. The flood watch is in effect from this morning until tonight.

"Widespread rainfall of one to three inches is expected across the watch area," the National Weather Service stated.

Poor drainage areas, rivers and streams have the potential to flood today due to the heavy rain, according to the NWS.

The Massachusetts State Police patrols have responded to numerous spin-outs today caused by motorists hitting puddles and slick areas, especially in left lanes of roadways. State Police are urging motorists to drive slowly in rainy conditions and leave extra space between themselves and the vehicle in front of them.

The National Weather Service is expecting rain almost every day this week through Friday.
