Celebrate Summer Solstice in Foxborough

Summer Solstice marks the start of summer.

You may know the date, June 21, as the first day of summer. The official name for the first day of summer is "summer solstice." 

Summer solstice is commonly referred to as the longest day of the year. Today, the earth's axial tilt is inclined toward the sun more than any other day of the year. 

According to sunrisesunset.com, in Foxborough today, the sun rose at 5:09 a.m. and will set at 8:24 p.m. After today, the sun will begin to set earlier and by the end of August, will set at 7:22 p.m.
