Attorney General Martha Coakley's office has agreed to review the legality of Foxborough's public drunkenness bylaw, the Sun Chronicle reported Saturday.

In a statement by the spokesman of Coakley's office, Brad Puffer, Puffer said that Attorney General's office is "happy" to work with Foxborough.

Two weeks prior, Paul DeRensis, Town Counsel, said there was miscommunication between Foxborough and the Attorney General's office over the .

Last Wednesday, Town Clerk Robert Cutler and attorney John Richard Hucksam Jr., a colleague of DeRensis, re-submitted the bylaw to the Attorney General's office. The office has agreed to review a legal brief. They also agreed to a brief concerning a similar bylaw passed by Mansfield.
