Sullivan Makes Headlines After Election Victory, Fights Crime

Mark Sullivan makes headlines for helping to fight crime in Foxborough.

Newly elected is making headlines this week after he stepped in to capture an alleged burglar.

The incident occurred Tuesday morning, May 3 - the day after Sullivan won a seat back on the board of selectmen.

Sullivan and his nephew Robert Sullivan were driving on South Street in Foxborough when they noticed a man "climbing into the window" of their friend Mark Sweeny's home at 143 South St.

Sullivan quickly phoned police. Minutes later, Sullivan confronted the robber at the side of Sweeny's home.

Timothy J. Chandler, 27, of Mansfield was placed under arrest soon after by Foxborough police.

Chandler was arraigned Tuesday in Wrentham District Court on charges of breaking and entering during the daytime, larceny over $250 and use of a motor vehicle in a crime.
