A Fan’s Guide to New England Patriots Training Camp 2013

After waiting nearly six months since the end of the NFL season, it's time for the Patriots to go back to work with the start of training camp.

Training camp starts what will be a most interesting season for the Patriots. With a virtually new receiving core and recent distractions off the field, many are wondering how the Pats will perform this season.

In anticipation of training camp and the new season, Foxborough Patch has put together a special guide with what you need to know about the first few days of training camp.

The first three sessions of training camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium. Fans heading to the stadium for the practices are advised to check the Patriots' official website or call the Training Camp hotline at 508-549-0001 for any last minute changes.

Parking, admission to training camp, and access to the Fan Zone are all free.

The following practices have been announced:

  • July 26: 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  • July 27: 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  • July 28: 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. 
  • July 29: 7 p.m. - In-stadium practice(open to Foxborough residents, Walpole residents, and season ticket holders)
  • July 30: 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. 
Training camp will resume on August 1 with the dates for the practice sessions to be announced.

During training camp, an interactive football themed environment known as the fan zone will be open. The area features games, activities, prizes and even appearances from former Patriots! Those entering the fan zone are asked to sign a waiver which can be obtained here. The waiver will also be available at training camp.

The Fan Zone will be open at the following times:
  • July 26: 5:45 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • July 27: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • July 28: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. 
  • July 30: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Parking at Gillette Stadium
Those going to training camp are asked to park in Lots 20 and 22 on the west side of the stadium. To see a parking map, click here.

Concessions
A variety of concessions will be available at the practice fields and at the Fan Zone.

Prohibited Items
The following objects are not allowed at Gillette Stadium:
  • Animals, except service animals assisting those with disabilities.
  • Any alcoholic beverages
  • Beach balls
  • Bullhorns and air horns
  • Coolers
  • Fireworks or pyrotechnics
  • Flags will be allowed, however flag poles over two feet in length will not be allowed.
  • Helium balloons
  • Illegal drugs or any other illegal substance
  • Laser pens
  • Noise makers
  • Video Cameras
  • Weapons of any kind (including knives)
  • Any other item deemed inappropriate by stadium management
No prohibited items will be accepted at training camp for safekeeping. Fans are reminded to please leave all such items secured in their vehicles.

Individuals with possession of a prohibited item(s) may be denied admission to training camp, ejected, arrested and prosecuted. Prohibited items that are discovered at training camp will be confiscated.

Rain Policy
Due to inclement weather, some practices may be moved indoors. Those practices will not be open to the public. Any changes will be announced on the Patriots' website and on the Training Camp Hotline at  508-549-0001.
