Splitsville Co-founder Mark Gibson on Selectmen Vote: "We Are Extremely Disappointed"

The following is a statement from Mark Gibson, co-founder of Splitsville regarding the Foxboro Board of Selectmen's 3-2 vote to deny a liquor license transfer to Splitsville:

“We are extremely disappointed in what has happened with our efforts to open one of our signature bowling venues at Patriot Place. We've put a tremendous amount of resources into providing a comprehensive application for the Town's consideration. We believe we satisfied every requirement needed to obtain approval of our liquor license application. The board's denial of our application appears to be based on things unrelated to us.  We felt that our successful track record at Disney, one of the world's leading entertainment destinations, and our incorporation of world-class entertainment, would have been welcomed in Foxborough, Mass. We had been excited about joining the community, investing $4.5 million, creating 125 jobs, and generating $75,000 to $100,000 of annual revenue to the Town. We are evaluating our options at this point, but we are clearly very disappointed with the decision.”
