Ashley Saluga, Neighbor

Born in Glenview, IL, Ashley is excited to be working in the town she was born and raised.  She graduated with an undergraduate meteorology degree at Valparaiso University, but fell in love with journalism when she was storm chasing and driving through an Oklahoman town ravaged by a tornado. She realized that instead of forecasting the weather, she loved learning the stories of other people and sharing them with others. 

She developed her writing skills at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University where she received a Masters Degree.  She has written for the Glenview Announcements and the Doings newspapers in the western suburbs.  In addition, she's written and produced content for longer format documentary pieces that have aired on the Weather Channel, A & E Channel, the Biography Channel, the National Geographic Channel and the Discovery Channel. 

When she's not working, you can find her traveling, running along the lake and spending time with her two cats and her husband.
