A lovers’ quarrel between Foxborough residents James Fraser and his wife is reportedly what led to the high school wrestling coach’s arrest Sunday, according to police reports. Fraser, 45, was arrested Sunday following an alleged altercation with his wife at their Sherman Street home and charged with domestic assault and battery and attempted murder by strangulation. Fraser was arraigned in Wrentham District Court Monday and released on $2,000 cash bail, according to court documents. James Gallagher, 58, of Morse Street in Foxborough was arraigned in Wrentham District Court Monday on the following charges: attempted murder, simple assault and battery, two counts assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and threat to commit a crime. The man was summonsed to Wrentham District Court on charges related to cultivation and possession of marijuana, according to Foxborough Police Chief Edward O'Leary.
A Foxborough man has been summonsed to Wrentham District Court after police discovered “a substantial cultivation” of marijuana plants at the 48 Mirimichi Rd. residence Monday morning, according to Foxborough Police Chief Edward O’Leary. “[Foxborough Police] Detectives were notified about some suspicious activity,” O’Leary said. “We worked with some officers from other communities and discovered evidence that led us to believe that there was confirmation of drug cultivation.” Two officers approached the 48 Mirimichi Rd. home Monday morning and spoke to the owner, who gave police consent to enter the residence, according to O’Leary. “[When officers entered] they discovered a fairly substantial cultivation of marijuana,” O’Leary said. “All …

The explosives charges against Stephen A. Mudge Jr. following the July 13 incident at America’s Best Value Inn on Route 1 in Foxborough have been reduced to possession of fireworks, according to court documents. Mudge, of Easton and Taunton, appeared in Wrentham District Court on Friday, Aug. 10 and saw his eight counts possession of a destructive or incendiary device reduced to eight counts possession of fireworks, according to court documents. The Mansfield man arrested on July 24 following a motor vehicle stop on North Street in Foxborough was a New England Revolution player, the MLS club confirmed with Foxborough Patch Tuesday night, issuing the following statement. “We are aware of the recent incident involving Saer Sene. He is currently taking steps to address the matter at the court's direction and we're confident the situation will be resolved to the satisfaction of all parties in a timely manner. Police reports in the case involving Stephen A. Mudge Jr. – the man who was found in a Foxborough hotel room with explosives on July 13 – state the eight “homemade devices” allegedly found in Mudge’s backpack were “M-80-type fireworks.” Mudge Jr., 41 of Easton and Taunton, was arrested on July 13 on two outstanding warrants for breaking and entering in Easton and Raynham and arraigned in Wrentham District Court on July 16, where he pleaded not guilty to nine additional charges from the July 13 incident at America’s Best Value Inn off Route 1 on Washington Street in Foxborough, court documents said. The man who was found in a Foxborough hotel room with explosives last week pleaded not guilty and asked for a mental health evaluation in court Monday, according to Fox25 Boston. Stephen A. Mudge Jr., 41, originally of Easton, appeared in Wrentham District Court Monday and pleaded not guilty to eight counts possession of a destructive or incendiary device after Foxborough Police found "homemade explosives" in Mudge's hotel room at Americas Best Value Inn on Route 1 Friday, according to Foxborough Police detective Tom Kirrane. Kirrane said Friday's arrest was the result of a two-week investigation after Mudge was wanted for alleged break-ins in Norton, Easton and Raynham. To read Fox 25's full story, click here. Selectman Mark Sullivan received a protective order against a man accused of threatening his life.
A Foxborough selectman today sought and received a protective order against the man accused of threatening his life. Selectman Mark Sullivan requested the order just prior to the arraignment of Michael Viscardi in Wrentham District Court. Viscardi, 40, of 1 Spruce Street is charged with threatening Sullivan's life. The order would require Viscardi to stay away from Sullivan, his home and his place of work. Viscardi said he had problems with such an order. "I plan on going to Foxborough town meetings, and he's a selectman," Viscardi said, adding that he planned on getting a restraining order against Sullivan himself.
