Showcase Live will be the scene on June 9th for the 25th annual Foxborough High School All Night Graduation Party. The party is held each year to keep Foborough’s high school seniors safe on graduation night. The event will feature plenty of great activities like a hypnotist show, disk jockey and psychic readings. Promoter and booking agent Jim McLaughlin shares his story of the music industry and why Fusion on Route 1 in Foxborough is all about the music.
Jim McLaughlin has been in the music business for nearly 20 years as a promoter and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. “It’s always been a side project,” he said. “It’s got to the point where it’s almost a full time job.” McLaughlin said he started organizing music shows at the Norton Legion and said it was the most satisfying experience he’s ever had. “Just kind of looking back and knowing that you put that together,” he said. “Looking at the packed house and knowing you organized that. It’s something you believe in and actually worked to achieve. Foxborough's Board of Selectmen will hold public hearings for six different local establishments this month to address alleged liquor license violations.
November is going to be a busy month for Foxborough's Board of Selectmen as it plans to hold liquor license violation hearings for six different establishments in town. The six Foxborough businesses allegedly in violation of their liquor licenses are: The first three hearings will be held Monday at Town Hall; beginning with Showcase Live at 7:30 p.m. Hearings with Bar Louie and Foxboro Mandarin will follow. Then on Nov. 20, selectmen will hold hearings for Waxy O'Connor's, CBS Scene and Blue Finn Lounge at Bass Pro Shops. The six establishments allegedly served alcohol to a 19-year-old woman working with police during compliance checks of 33 licensed bars in town on Sept. 27, according to an Oct. 25 article in The Sun Chronicle. There will be Bingo at St. Mary's Church in Norton at 6:45 p.m. The Jamie Fund is hosting their Fourth Annual Jamie Fund 5K race/walk. There is also a free 1/4 mile fun run for kids! 1. Patriot Place will be holding fireworks tonightt at 9 p.m., following Finish at the 50 Road Race at Gillette Stadium at 6 p.m. 2. There will be no government meetings this week in Foxborough. 3. A heat wave is expected for late this week. The Cocasset River Recreation Department pool is open from noon-7 p.m. If you want to just go for the day, the fee is $5. 4. Howard Jones will be performing at Showcase Live July 6 at Showcase Live. 5. Today is going to be a keeper with a high 84 under sunny skies. It will partly cloudy and 66 tonight for the fireworks.

New England Revolution opens up home season against Portland Saturday.
