PHOTOS: Patriots Overcome Sloppy Play to Beat Jaguars Sunday

The New England Patriots found an ugly way to win Sunday in Jacksonville, earning a 23-16 victory over the Jaguars to keep pace for a first-round playoff bye in the AFC.

It certainly wasn't pretty but the New England Patriots found a way to beat the Jaugars Sunday in Jacksonville and keep pace for one of the top two playoff seeds in the AFC. The Patriots (11-4) overcame a slow start filled with mistakes on both sides of the ball to beat Jacksonville, 23-16. The Patriots proceeded to score touchdowns on four straight possessions to tie the game at 31, but San Francisco regained the momentum and held on for a 41-34 win. The only time in NFL history that a team has won a game in which they trailed by 28 points was on Dec. 7, 1980…

Heard a rumor that it's because the Patriots QB leads in both of these categories by such a large margin that it would give the writers a lack of writing material for MVP. Manning trumps the entire NFL by almost 300 points …   more ›
