Foxborough streets are down to pavement as clean up crews spend all day working.
8:00 p.m: The Foxborough Highway department has been hard at work all day, clearing the roads and plowing out parking lots. Despite clear road pavement, high snow banks make for dangerous driving, a situation that is worrisome for officials in town. According to the Foxborough Fire Department they had one over night plow vs train incident. Minor damage was done to the vehicle's plow and their was no damage to the train. Overall it was very quiet. 10:30 a.m: The snow has stopped falling and clean up crews are still hard at work. Foxborough Public Schools are closed today due to the snowstorm. School Superintendent Christopher Martes made the call early this morning. Roadways and sidewalks are sill in the process of being cleared. The Foxboro Regional Charter School is also closed today. The Massachuseets Emergency Management Agency is reporting this morning that over 4,646 customers are without power, mostly in Plymouth and Norfolk counties. By end of morning, Foxborough is expected to receive eight to 12 inches of snow as reported by the National Weather Service. The winter storm warning is in effect for Eastern Massachusetts from 4 p.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday. Foxborough Patch will keep you updated on the latest storm cancellations.
