Getting a 13-7 win against the Panthers, the Warriors showed they could hang with and defeat the upper tier of Hockomock League lacrosse teams.
While the game was in Foxborough, the venue was quite different. Playing in Gillette Stadium, the Warriors faced their toughest task of the season in the Franklin Panthers. Foxborough will face off against Franklin in the third New England Lacrosse Classic April 16.
The Foxborough boys' varsity lacrosse team will take on Franklin High at Gillette Stadium this Saturday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m during the third New England Lacrosse Classic. Foxborough boys' varsity lacrosse is currently undefeated for the 2011 season. The New England Lacrosse Classic will also feature Syracuse University playing Providence at 4:00 p.m. and Princeton University taking on Darmouth College at 6:30 p.m. Syracuse will be making its third appearance at Gillette Stadium, having captured both the 2008 and 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championships in Foxborough. Providence will make its first appearance at Gillette. The 2011 NCAA Division I quarterfinal games will also take place at Gillette Stadium with a doubleheader on …

The Foxborough Warrior boys dominate the OA Tigers winning 13-1.
Thursday’s contest between Foxborough High School and Oliver Ames was a tale of two completely different teams. The Warriors, who earned their fourth win in a row this season, as they defeated a young and inexperienced Tigers squad, 13-1. “When you get dominated of course it’s demoralizing,” Oliver Ames head coach Fran Yung said after his team’s fourth loss of the season. “Is it one of my more demoralizing [games I have coached]? It’s right up there, [but] Matt [Noone] is good [because] the integrity of lacrosse is well within him because he knows when to pull the horses.” The Tigers practically admitted defeat after an early Cam Felix goal, which gave Foxborough an immediate, 1-0 lead with less than two minutes into the first quarter. Warriors couldn’t stop the Bulldogs late in the game and lost 19-14.
Going into their game against Canton, Foxboro looked to improve on their tie against Sharon. Once again they played a close game but couldn’t get the result they wanted. Despite having the lead several times in the game, the Warriors couldn’t stop the Bulldogs late in the game and lost 19-14. The Warriors started strong with a goal from Katie Notarangelo at 1:36. Canton would come right back a minute later with goals from Meghan Hannon and Jen Martin. Showing shades of the game against Sharon, Foxboro responded by taking a 5-3 lead with 10:49 left in the first half. Meghan Hannon tied it up for Canton with two goal.
