Waxy O'Connor's in Jeopardy of Losing Liquor License Following Most Recent Alleged Violation

Waxy O'Connor's will appear before the Foxborough Board of Selectmen on Jan. 8, 2013 for a liquor license violation public hearing after allegedly serving alcohol to a minor.

Editor's note: Waxy O'Connor's Irish Pub is innocent until proven guilty regarding the recent allegation against the establishment for serving alcohol to a minor. Waxy O'Connor's Irish Pub is allegedly in violation of its liquor license for the fourth time since 2011 after Foxborough Police reported the establishment served alcohol to a minor during a September compliance check operation in town. The alleged violation could lead to significant consequences for the Main Street establishment if found guilty. "If [Waxy's] gets hit with a fourth violation then they will be out of business," said Foxborough Town Manager Kevin Paicos following a May 2011 public hearing in which Foxborough's Board of Selectmen suspended Waxy's liquor license for …
