Foxborough voters will gather inside the auditorium of Foxborough High School Tuesday night to say "Yes" or "No" to 13 warrant articles, including the proposed turf field (Article 6). Here's what you need to know.

Foxborough's Advisory Committee voted 9-3 against recommending Article 6 of December’s Special Town Meeting Warrant.
When the warrant article for the proposed turf field project is presented at Town Meeting on Dec. 11, it will not have the support of Foxborough’s Advisory Committee. Article 6, “Artificial Turf Field,” of the Special Town Meeting Warrant failed to meet the approval of the Advisory Committee after a nearly two-and-a-half hour discussion at Wednesday’s meeting. “We would all love to say yes to this project,” said Advisory Committee chair Larry Thomas. “I understand the importance of athletics. Voters are likely to be asked to approve the turf field article at December’s Town Meeting.
James DeVellis, president of Turf’s Up – a volunteer committee dedicated to bringing a turf field to town, described Monday’s meeting with Foxborough’s School Committee as a “home run.” “The [School Committee] voted [Monday] to sponsor a warrant article for [Fall] Town Meeting to bring it to the voters,” DeVellis said. “I think there’s enough support.” DeVellis, who also chairs the Foxborough Board of Selectmen, met with the school committee Monday to present a revised plan to bring a synthetic turf field and track to Foxborough High School. @ hood - kudos to you. I also agree with Steve when he can not find fault on either side. This was a tough one. I voted for it without a horse in the race but at the same time understand peoples apprehension.
