The Learning Experience Throws Successful Toys For Tots Drive

Organizers said over 200 toys were donated.

The Learning Experience in Foxborough just finished its first tremendously successful year of accepting donations for the popular children’s charity Toys for Tots. For the past two weeks, “People are dropping off toys and there are lots of them,” said the child development center’s Business Manager Amy LaBrache, then added, “We have received well over 200 toys.” LaBrache said they were searching for something to do in the community and after researching it saw there weren’t a lot of drop off places in the area for Toy for Tots.  She said one family brought in over 40 toys. LaBrache added that teachers from the Burrell School in Foxborough celebrated the holiday season by buying toys to donate instead of buying gifts for each other.  …

State Police Second Annual “Fill the Cruiser Day”

The second annual “Fill the Cruiser Day" will be held on Dec. 3.

Join the State Police Second Annual “Fill the Cruiser Day.” In addition to barracks collections, Toys ‘R’ Us will be again be hosting State Police for our second annual “Fill the Cruiser Day” at various Toys ‘R’ Us locations throughout Massachusetts this Saturday Dec. 3, 2011.  After you finsih your shopping, “fill the cruiser” with the additional toys that you have purchased. Once the cruiser has been filled, the toys will be delivered to the nearest State Police facility for delivery to the Toys-for-Tots warehouse. Listed below are the Toys-R-Us locations and times of the event:        The event times for all locations will be 10:00 a.m.-4:00p.m.
