The storm could be the "biggest of the season," and falls on the anniversary of one of the biggest blizzards ever.
The National Weather Service reports that there is a "chance of snow" every day from Wednesday, Feb. 6 through Friday, Feb. 8 in the area. According to Jim Arnold, weather specialist with the Shrewsbury Management Agency, the brunt of the storm would likely hit the area on Thursday and Friday. "Right now I see little chance of any freezing rain, sleet or ice with this storm," said Arnold, "as the pattern setting up is a cold one and favorable for all snow across inland southern New England. In addition, the model guidance is now coming around to the idea of a significant snowstorm for most of the northeast United States." In addition to the likely snow on Thursday and Friday, an intensifying coastal system will add wind to cause "…

You tell us, are you soaking in these spring-like temperatures or hoping to see snow in the forecast?
Let's face it - it's been a few years since a snowstorm has truly walloped the area, despite several inches in a recent storm. On top of that, the National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect high temperatures to stay in the mid-40s for the rest of the week and the New England Patriots may end up playing their rematch with the Houston Texans in sunny, 50-degree weather. So, we have to ask: Have you been loving this break from typical New England winter weather or are you in serious need of snowfall? Let us know in the comments section below.

A second storm is headed to the area and could make driving hazardous on Saturday.
A second storm of the week is headed toward New England and will dump more snow onto the area on Saturday. 7News meteorologists are predicting Foxborough to get between 2 to 4 inches of snow in the storm that is expected to start on Saturday afternoon and spread into the early hours of Sunday. The good news is that snow removal shouldn’t be a backbreaking endeavour. CBSBoston’s Todd Gutner said the snow will be “dry and fluffy for most,” though he warned that driving could be hazardous at times on Saturday.
