Provisions in FY12 budget make outdoor sporting activities more affordable

Senator Jim Timilty announced that two provisions in the Commonwealth’s Fiscal Year 2012 budget facilitate Massachusetts youth participation in hunting and freshwater fishing. The budget reduces the fee for anyone under 18 years of age applying for a firearm identification card for hunting from $100 to $25. The fee for a freshwater fishing license would be waived for youths.
