Robert E. Green Dies at 92; Funeral Services Wednesday in Foxborough

Green served his country as a radio man in the US Navy during WWII and was an avid sports fan.

Robert Eric Green, 92, died March 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Emmet S. and Marie (Hertel) Green. Bob was born on Sept. 19, 1920 in Boston. He married his late wife Mary Frances (Mackey) on June 20, 1964 at St. Lawrence Church in Brookline. He proudly served his country as a radio man in the US Navy during WWII. He was employed as an electrician for the RCA Corporation. Bob was very active in church, was an avid Red Sox, hockey and NFL fan. He was a family man and took pride in taking care of his home. Retired Foxborough Firefighter Dies Unexpectedly

Foxborough resident Hollis 'Butch' Meyer Jr., 70, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 19.

Hollis “Butch” Meyer, Jr., 70, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. He was the son of the late Hollis B. and Margaret E. (Whitten) Meyer. Butch was born on Jan. 6, 1943 in Boston. He was a graduate of Norwood Vocational High School, Class of 1960. He was a retired Foxborough firefighter. He married his wife Sandra J. (Bassile) on Oct. 31, 1964 at St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough. Butch was a member of the NRA and an avid NASCAR fan. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Loving husband of Sandra J. Joan M. (Fahey) Chamberlin, 76, of Foxborough and Jupiter Beach, Fla., died on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 at Norwood Hospital surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late John C. and Ann M. (Parker) Fahey. Joan was born in Wilmington, Del. on Jan. 15, 1936. She was a graduate of the University of Delaware, Class of 1957. She has been a resident of Foxborough since 1977 and enjoyed spending time at her home in Jupiter Beach, Fla. She was employed as a medical technologist for 20 years at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Joan was an avid reader, enjoyed world travel and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and sister. Dr. Kevin Peter Patrick Duffy, age 70, died on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. Kevin was born in New York City on Dec. 8, 1941, the son of Irish born Francis and Elizabeth (McNally) Duffy. He has been a resident of Foxborough from 1974 to 1983 and from 1991 to present. Kevin’s career at Boston College spanned 40 years including Vice President of Student Affairs from 1976 – 2000. He then taught at the Lynch Graduate School of Education until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, organizing parties and events for his family and friends, weekly dinners with his son Mark and spending time with his grandchildren.
