Teams raise $103,816 for cancer research.
For 8 years, The Relay For Life of Greater Foxboro, has been fighting the battle against cancer. The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life gives people not only in Foxboro, but around the world as well, "a chance to celebrate those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against this heartbreaking disease." The main relay event took place on June 17 and June 18 at the Ahern Middle School in Foxborough. The Greater Foxboro Relay collected $103,816 for the American Cancer Society on Friday and Saturday.

For over eight years, the Foxboro Relay for Life has raised over 1 million to be put towards cancer research. On Saturday, June 18, the Relay for Life of Greater Foxboro held their annual Pantene Beautiful Length Charity event. Eleven people in total donated their locks with a minimum donation length of eight inches of hair. Those involved included a mother and her two daughters. Everyone who took part in the Pantene Beautiful Length Charity also participated in the Relay for Life Ceremony. Chairwoman, Amy Walker, stated that this was their fourth year participating with Relay for Life.
