Cast of National Geographic's 'Wicked Tuna' Sails in to Foxborough this Weekend

The cast of National Geographic's "Wicked Tuna" will make an appearance at Bass Pro Shops at Patriot Place on Saturday.

The cast of National Geographic Channel’s hit show "Wicked Tuna" is making a special appearance in Foxborough Saturday to meet with fans prior to Sunday's second season debut on National Geographic Channel at 9 p.m. The show follows a group of spirited fishermen from Gloucester as they make their living the way it has been done for centuries — man versus fish, rod versus fin, one catch at a time. The stakes are unforgiving, but the paydays can be huge as the fleet navigates the frigid waters of the North Atlantic searching for the magnificent and elusive bluefin tuna. One “monstah” catch can bring in as much as $20,000 but with a short fishing season and dwindling tuna populations, Gloucester’s fishermen are fighting for their economic …

Patriot Place Adds High-End Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse to Restaurant Mix

Saga Hibachi Steakhouse & Sushi Bar plans to open in Foxborough this summer after its application and licenses were approved Tuesday by the Board of Selectmen.

Patriot Place continued its recent boom in business by adding a high-end Japanese hibachi steakhouse to its restaurant mix. Saga Hibachi Steakhouse & Sushi Bar is coming to Foxborough, expected to open this summer after the town’s Board of Selectmen unanimously approved all licenses and applications at Tuesday’s meeting. "We're incredibly excited to add Saga and the exciting atmosphere that a high-end, hibachi-style restaurant brings," said Patriot Place General Manager Brian Earley. "We were happy to see that the [Board of Selectmen] shares our enthusiasm and sees this as a positive addition to Patriot Place and to Foxborough." Berry Yogurt Violations Not Food-Related but Issues Must be Addressed

The Foxborough Board of Health cited inexperience as the reason for Berry Yogurt’s deficiencies following inspections in July, August and October.

The Foxborough Board of Health voiced several concerns regarding operational issues at Berry Yogurt to the frozen yogurt shop’s manager, Mimi Tran, at a recent BOH meeting. The board’s chair, Paul Steeves, told Foxborough Patch none of the food code violations found at the Patriot Place frozen yogurt shop were food related and while he didn’t want to make a big deal of the violations, explained the board did express several concerns to Tran that need to be addressed within 30 days. “We did three inspections,” Steeves said. “Once in July when they opened, one in August and one just recently and they still had some [operational] violations like [documentation for shatterproof] light bulbs and [the need for an employee training booklet and a …

Editor's note: The following open letter was submitted for publication by The Kraft Group. In 2007, we worked in partnership with the Town of Foxborough to develop Patriot Place. We promised a development that would add to the quality of life for residents by attracting world class healthcare, lodging, dining, entertainment and shopping while adding millions annually to the Town’s revenue base. We have delivered on all of those goals, and we continue to attract sought-after businesses to Foxborough, as evidenced by last week’s opening of one of the largest Trader Joe’s in the Northeast.
