The Patriot Place establishment was one of just five locations in the state to tap the 4:09 pale ale Wednesday – the one month anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings.
CBS Scene is raising money for the One Fund Boston through sales of a rare Wormtown Brewing Co. beer tapped Wednesday to honor the one-month anniversary of the bombings at the Boston Marathon. The first pour of the beer, 4:09 pale ale from Wormtown Brewing Co., occurred at 4:09 p.m. Wednesday and the first sale came shortly thereafter with 100 percent of the proceeds going to The One Fund. “This is pretty phenomenal,” said Walpole resident Steve Dion after purchasing the first 4:09 pale ale at CBS Scene. “I just happened to walk into this [fundraiser]. My wife just got a new job so we are out celebrating. … [The beer is] for a great cause and it’s delicious.” CBS Scene was just one of five locations selected by Quality Beverage to carry …

The country’s largest one-stop retailer for beauty products and services will celebrate the grand opening of its Foxborough location with a three-day special event.

To mark National Volunteer Week, the Brigham and Women’s/Dana Farber Blood Mobile visited Foxborough on April 25th. Over 60 donors, made up of business leaders, healthcare staff, patients, and the general public, turned out at this important drive, which replenishes the blood supply at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This was especially important in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Thursday, April 11: Ed Lawton/Lawton’s Family Farm, 70 North St: Routine retail food service (milk) inspection here yielded no violations. Health Director Pauline Clifford conducted the inspection and noted small glass qrt. sizes of milk were not marked with any date. Nancy Lawton told Clifford she “has not gotten around to ‘stamping’ the dates on the glass containers yet.” Clifford followed up on Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources cease and desist order dated April 8.
