PHOTOS: NASA Astronaut Visits Foxborough Thursday

NASA Commander Chris Cassidy, a Salem, Mass. native who has logged more than 375 hours in space, interacted with kids participating in the "Train Like an Astronaut" fitness program Thursday at The Hall at Patriot Place.

NASA Commander and astronaut Chris Cassidy has logged more than 375 hours in space but on Thursday he took some time on Planet Earth to share his unique experience with children in Foxborough. Cassidy, along with members of the Train Like an Astronaut fitness team, visited The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon for nearly three hours for children to participate in the unique fitness program. According to NASA's website, "Train Like an Astronaut" was "developed in cooperation with NASA scientists and fitness professionals working directly with astronauts. The 'Train Like an Astronaut' activities are a physical and inquiry-based approach to human health and fitness on Earth and in space. Students can participate in physical …
