Snow Made for 'Terrible' Morning Commute Thursday in Foxborough Area

Many Foxborough Patch readers expressed frustration with Thursday morning's commute throughout the area.

Snow covered roads Thursday made for an unpleasant commute for many Foxborough Patch readers, who collective described road conditions as "terrible." We took to Facebook to ask how the morning commute was for our readers throughout the area and this is what they had to say: Ramona Kingsley said: "Foxborough roads stink!!! ... drove to Norton this morning and roads in Mansfield and Norton were all clear!!!" Raquel L. Auriemma said: "At 6:30 a.m., very slow going from Foxborough into Sharon. I saw plows/sand trucks in Sharon, but even those roads weren't in great shape." I'm glad you didn't let your newly licensed driver out on the road this morning, but like I said...put them on the buses! We have schedules to make and can't because of excess traffic and bad road conditions...but we HAVE to be out there. All the cars do not! 'Tricky Snowstorm' Leads to Frustrating Morning for Foxborough Commuters

The timing of Wednesday morning's snowstorm made for a slow and frustrating ride to work for many commuters.

A morning storm covered Foxborough with nearly three inches of snow, making for a long and frustrating ride into work for many commuters. “Took 50 minutes to get to Dedham by way of Route 1 at 6:15 this morning,” said Andrea Brown on Foxborough Patch’s Facebook page.  Other Foxborough Patch readers described the roads as “slippery” and “wet” during the morning commute. “Took an hour to get to Milford [on 495],” said reader Shannon Hodge. Reader Jenn Emery added it took over two hours to get to West Roxbury because of the slow-moving traffic.
