Injured Teen Medflighted from Patriot Place Thursday Night Released from Hospital

The 16-year-old girl suffered undisclosed injuries from a fall while ice skating at Patriot Place's Winter Skate Thursday.

If you thought you heard a helicopter flying low over Foxborough Thursday night you were correct. Here's what happened: A 16-year-old girl was released from the hospital Friday after suffering injuries from an ice skating accident at Patriot Place Thursday night, according to Foxborough Fire Captain Ed Noonan. "[Thursday's incident was a] skating accident," Noonan said. "SGirl fell, striking her head on the ice. Long story short she was released [from the hospital Friday] so nothing of significance." Noonan said Foxborough Fire called Medflight because the injury, while undisclosed, was to the girl's head. UPDATED: Man Seriously Hurt in Monday's Crash on Spruce Street Identified

Foxborough resident John Newman of Spruce Street is the 45-year-old male operator that was Medflighted to Boston Monday after his Volvo struck a tree, according to police logs.

UPDATE (5:45 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6) - The 45-year-old man whose motor vehicle struck a tree on Spruce Street Monday night has been identified as Foxborough resident John Newman of Spruce Street, according to police logs. Newman's condition remains unknown Tuesday after he was seriously injured in the one-car crash and Medflighted to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Newman's reportedly crashed his 2000 Volvo into a group of trees in the area of 32 Spruce Street just after 7:30 p.m., according to Foxborough Police logs. The vehicle suffered significant damage to the driver’s side, trapping Newman. Foxborough Fire extricated Newman from the vehicle and transported him by Foxborough ambulance to Booth Fields, where he was …

UPDATED: Condition of Boy Struck by Truck Remains Unknown; No Criminal Charges Against Operator

A 12-year-old boy was struck by a landscaping truck near Baker and Chestnut Streets Monday afternoon and his condition remains unknown as of Monday night, according to Foxborough Police. The operator does not face criminal charges from the incident.

UPDATE (Aug. 27, 9:17 p.m.) - The condition of the 12-year-old boy on a bicycle that was struck by a landscaping truck Monday afternoon on Baker Street remains unknown as of Monday night and the operator of the vehicle is not facing criminal charges at this time, according to Foxborough Police. Foxborough Police Sergeant Richard Noonan said in a press release the 12-year-old Foxborough boy (earlier reported as 13 by Foxborough Police Chief Edward O'Leary) "suffered internal injuries and several skin abrasions" from the accident. "Foxborough Fire EMS/Paramedics attended to the child and due to the nature of his injuries, the child was flown to Tufts Medical Center in Boston by MedFlight," according to the press release.
