Joe Kennedy III Tours Southeastern Regional in Easton

The freshman congressman said vocational education should be "a focal point of a lot of our education efforts moving forward."

Fourth District Congressman Joe Kennedy III (D-Brookline), who represents Foxborough, visited Southeastern Regional Vocational High School in Easton Friday morning to tour the facility and meet students and faculty. Kennedy, who said vocational education should be "a focal point of a lot of our education efforts moving forward" wanted to see how the school operated. "He called out of the blue," Southeastern Superintendent Luis Lopes said. "He was very interested in vocational education." The school is currently in the midst of a $32.9 million renovation, thanks to funds from the Massachusetts School Building Authority. Congressman-Elect Joe Kennedy III Announces District Offices

Kennedy will keep the Newton office currently held by Congressman Barney Frank.

Congressman-elect Joe Kennedy III announced today plans to locate his Fourth District offices in Newton and Attleboro. Kennedy will keep the office 29 Crafts Street in Newton that was used by retiring Congressman Barney Frank, according to a press release issued this morning. In addition, Kennedy will open an office at 8 North Main St. in Attleboro, which was previously occupied by Congressman Jim McGovern prior to redistricting. “Having offices in Newton and Attleboro will ensure that my staff and I are constantly accessible to residents across the Fourth District,” Kennedy said in the press release. “It is a priority of mine to continue the unparalleled constituent service of Congressmen Frank and McGovern, and I’m hopeful that these …

Bielat, Kennedy Spar in Brief Television Debate

The 15-minute debate aired on Fox25 Morning News earlier Wednesday.

Although they had just a few minutes to make their case, Fourth Congressional District candidates Joe Kennedy III and Sean Bielat touted their experience and ideas in a Fox25 debate earlier Wednesday morning.  The live debate, which was moderated by Fox25 news host Gene Levanchy, lasted less than 15 minutes. This was the final scheduled television appearance for Bielat and Kennedy before the Nov. 6 general election.  Bielat, a Norfolk Republican, is running against Kennedy, a Brookline Democrat, to replace the retiring Fourth District Congressman Barney Frank, of Newton. Kennedy, Bielat to Square Off in Wellesley College Debate

Candidates for the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional District seat will participate in their third debate tonight.

The race for the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional District seat will take another step forward tonight as the candidates take part in a debate at Wellesley College. Democrat Joe Kennedy III and Republican Sean Bielat will participate in the Massachusetts Fourth Congressional District debate sponsored by the League of Women Voters and Wellesley College. This is the third debate between the candidates, who seek to replace longtime Democratic Congressman Barney Frank. Both Bielat and Kennedy have participated in a live chat on Patch, and the two candidates will appear once more after tonight in a televised debate Oct. 24 broadcast live on WFXT-TV. Democratic congressional candidate Joe Kennedy III celebrated his 32nd birthday in Attleboro last week speaking about support for military veterans.

ATTLEBORO – Republican congressional candidate Sean Bielat has military experience, but the son of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden told an audience in South Attleboro last week that Bielat's Democratic opponent Joe Kennedy III was the best person to represent veterans in Washington. After spending the day in New Hampshire campaiging for his father and President Barack Obama, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden came to the American Legion Post 312 in South Attleboro last Thursday for the nighttime event called "Veterans for Joe Kennedy." Bielat, Kennedy Face Off in First Debate

Thursday night's debate will air on WCVB this Sunday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m.

In their first general election debate appearance, Fourth Congressional District candidates Sean Bielat and Joe Kennedy III went head-to-head Thursday night on topics including policy, job creation and social security. Bielat, a Republican, also focused on his opponent's resume. He argued that Kennedy, a Democrat, does not have enough experience for the congressional seat, according to a report Friday in the Boston Globe. The debate was held at the WCVB-TV 5 studios in Needham and taped for the channel's political show, "On the Record" with Janet Wu and Ed Harding.
