Community Comes Together to Celebrate Life of ‘Mr. Foxborough’ James Davin The town of Foxborough came together on Friday to celebrate the life of longtime resident and father of three, James Davin, who passed away this past October. Hundreds of well-wishers came by Demetri’s Function Hall on Route 1 Foxborough to remember Davin and help support his family. Foxborough-based band Thirty6Red provided entertainment for the night as raffles and prizes were handed out to the many in attendance. Tens of thousands of dollars have been donated in James' memory to help his family in the wake of his death. James was a Foxborough resident for 15 years and served as general counsel for the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department. Read more by clicking …

Benefit for James Davin's Family to be Held at Demetri's in Foxborough

Generosity for Jim, a fundraiser benefit for Jim Davin's family in the wake of his death will be held at Demetri's on Route 1 in Foxborough on Jan. 11, 2013 from 7 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $20.

While the line for James Davin’s wake stretched from Roberts & Sons Funeral Home to CVS in late October, friends of the 48-year-old father of three decided it wasn’t enough to simply pay their respects to Jim’s wife, Nicky and their three children Sean, Aidan and Julia. Foxborough friends, Boston-area contacts and extended family wanted to do more to help ease the Davin’s burden and to applaud the outpouring of kindness from so many. By the time supporters packed the pews of St. Mary’s Church and celebrated the Wayne Drive resident’s life at a reception the following day – plans for a community fundraiser were well underway.
