Selectmen Continue Jake n JOES Liquor License Hearing to Feb. 26

Selectmen will review Jake n JOES’ application for alteration of premises for All Alcohol Restaurant License.

Foxborough’s Board of Selectmen continued Tuesday’s public hearing to review Jake n JOES’ application for alteration of premises for the establishment’s All Alcohol Restaurant License to Feb. 26. Foxborough Town Manager Kevin Paicos said Jake n JOES needed to file an application for alteration of premises with the town after Building Inspector Bill Casbarra discovered the establishment’s floor plan did not match the one submitted with the All Alcohol Restaurant License. “It was very different,” Paicos said of the floor plan. “The owners didn’t realize they needed to come in with a different plan so it’s just an unfortunate error because as many restaurants as they’ve owned, they’ve never opened a new place. It’s always been other …

Change in Floor Plan Delays Jake n JOES' Opening in Foxborough

Foxborough’s Board of Selectmen must approve Jake n JOES’ new floor plan before the sports grille’s liquor license can be valid.

A special public hearing is needed before Jake n JOES can open its Foxborough location after the sports grille altered its original floor plan, according to Town Manager Kevin Paicos. “[Jake n JOES] had a little bit of a problem that was brought to my intention Tuesday,” Paicos said. “They filed their liquor license with a floor plan that basically is what was there before and then of course they went and they built their restaurant. They didn’t realize the floor plan that you approved is actually what is legally approved.” Paicos said he visited the restaurant to see if the changes to the submitted floor plan were minimal but reported to selectmen Tuesday the alterations were “gigantically different” from what was on file with the town. “…
