How Much Snow is Foxborough Getting This Weekend?

Weather forecasters are predicting anything from 1-3 inches of snow hitting the area this weekend to over six inches.

Will Foxborough get pummeled this weekend with more than a foot of snow or will it be less than half a foot with rain mixed in? According to multiple weather reports, this weekend's storm has been downgraded as of Friday night, with snowfall totals in Foxborough being reduced to 1-3 or 3-5 inches. While the snowstorm appears to be less severe than earlier reported, The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch from Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. The NWS said 6 inches of snow or more is possible and warned of heavy wet snow that may fall at 1 to 2 inches per hour. Snow may mix with rain in the Foxborough area. Winter Storm Watch Issued for Monday Afternoon, Tuesday Morning

Several inches of snow could fall in Eastern Massachusetts from the winter storm.

Forecasters say a snow storm is expected to roll into Eastern Massachusetts Monday, hitting the coast around 5 p.m. and dropping 3-5 inches of snow along the coast and 1-3 inches inland, according to the WHDH Channel 7 forecast. Most of the snow is expected to fall on Tuesday. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch beginning Monday afternoon. In Foxborough, NWS calls for snow showers mainly after 4 p.m. Accumulation is expected to be less than a half an inch Monday afternoon/evening. Snow will continue overnight, mainly before 4 a.m. Tuesday and is expected to leave 1-3 inches in town. Snow is expected to continue  Tuesday, mainly before 10 a.m. Daytime accumulation is expected to be less than an inch.
