Hillers Edge Out Foxborough From Tennis Playoffs

The Warriors suffered their first loss of the season and were eliminated from postseason play by a score of 3-2.

Not even rain could stop the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional Championship for girls’ tennis. Originally scheduled to take play at Medway High School, the match was moved to the indoor courts of the Kingsbury Club in Medfield. With no choice but to play inside, the Warriors faced their toughest challenge in a strong Hopkinton Hillers team. The Hillers proved to be too much as the Warriors suffered their first loss of the season and were eliminated from postseason play by a score of 3-2. With only four courts to play on, one match would have to go on last. Using a coin toss to decide which match would play last, Hopkinton won the toss and was able to put a singles match on last.  The decision allowed for two singles matches and two doubles …

Foxborough Girls Tennis Begin Quest For State Title Saturday

Warriors will get a bye past the preliminary round and straight into a first round matchup against the winner of Sharon vs. Pembroke.

The Foxborough High School girls’ tennis team will begin their postseason play Saturday, June 4 at a time to be announced. Being awarded the No. 3 seed, the Warriors will get a bye past the preliminary round and straight into a first round matchup against the winner of Sharon vs. Pembroke. For anyone facing the Warriors its going to be a tough challenge to get past a team that features the best player in the South Sectional and two singles players that have been near perfect all year. There is no getting around it, anyone is who has to face Alana Prinos is going to have a hard time beating her. The recently crowned South Sectional champion is undefeated in match play all season. Foxborough Girls Tennis Capture First Ever Hockomock League Title

Foxborough defeated King Philip 3-2 to win the school’s first ever Hockomock League title.

They’ve beaten the competition all season long and this day was no different. All season long, the Foxboro girls’ tennis team has made a name for themselves as a threat to be reckoned with. In the inaugural Hockomock Cup for girls’ tennis, the Warriors defeated King Philip 3-2 to win the school’s first ever Hockomock League title. As they have all season long, Alana Prinos, Hallie Young, and Emma Prinos all won their matches in straight sets. Never looking challenged and in control for the entire match, Alana Prinos defeated KP’s Lauren Trudeau 6-0, 6-1 to remain undefeated this year. In the 2nd singles match, Foxboro’s Hallie Young defeated KP’s Casey Burks 6-2, 6-3.  In the 2nd set, Burkes was able to get the match to 4-3 but Young was …

Foxborough Girls' Tennis Wins at Home Against Franklin

Foxborough aces Franklin 3-2.

The rain was able to hold off long enough yesterday to get in Foxborough's girls' varsity tennis match against Franklin. Foxborough swept three matches to beat Franklin 3-2.  Match play results:
