As the town continues to dig out in the aftermath of Blizzard 2013, Foxborough Schools Superintendent Debra Spinelli announced Foxborough Public Schools will be closed Monday, Feb. 11.
The Blizzard of 2013 has left too much of a mess for Foxborough's DPW to clean up in time for schools to resume Monday and as a result, students will have an extended weekend. "All Foxborough Public Schools will remain closed tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 11th," Spinelli said. "This will give our town workers more time to clear sidewalks and secondary roads for safe travel to school. At this point, we do plan to reopen on Tuesday. Thank you for your understanding. " Foxborough DPW Director Roger Hill told Spinelli Saturday that he didn't see any hope in getting the schools opened for Monday.
