Foxborough Police responded to a startling scene at a liquor store on Route 1 Saturday afternoon.
There were no injuries reported after a motor vehicle drove through the entrance of Route 1 Liquor Mart at 29 Washington St. in Foxborough Saturday afternoon. "[It] could have been a lot worse than how this image [see above] portrays it," Foxborough Police said on its Facebook page. Police received a 911 call from Route 1 Liquor Mart at 4:51 p.m. Saturday reporting a car had crashed through the front of the building. Foxborough police officers Patrick Morrison, Patrick Hoffman, Mark Bohnenberger and Sgt. Scott Austin were dispatched to Route 1 Liquor Mart and observed the 2010 gray Toyota Corolla through the front door of the Foxborough package store. Injuries are reported to be minor and both parties were transported to Norwood Hospital, according to Foxborough Fire.
Two elderly people were transported to Norwood Hospital Monday afternoon with minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident near 164 East St. Foxborough. “Injuries did not appear to be life threatening,” Foxborough Fire Captain David Healy said. “We had to extricate two parties – one from each vehicle. … They were both conscious and alert and both are being transported to Norwood Hospital for further treatment.” Healy said Foxborough fire received a call for a two-car motor vehicle accident with injuries and airbag deployment around 12:19 p.m. Monday from an off-duty firefighter. “One of our off-duty firefighters was on scene first and reported there was entrapment so we upgraded our response to a full recall,” Healy said. Foxborough Fire responded to a call of an overturned vehicle on I-495 North of Route 1 in Foxborough Wednesday afternoon. The extent of the injuries suffered by the three individuals involved is unknown at this time.
Three people were transported to area hospitals for unknown injuries Wednesday following a two-car crash on I-495 North of Route 1 in Foxborough, according to Foxborough Fire Deputy Chief Steven Bagley. “Two [people] were transported to Sturdy Hospital, one was transported by Plainville ambulance to Rhode Island,” Bagley said. "The accident was in Foxborough … two vehicles were involved.” One of those vehicles was overturned, according to scanner reports while the other was stopped in the breakdown lane. Foxborough Fire received a call around 2:39 p.m. for a “rollover and fire” but Bagley said the accident was less severe than originally reported. “Original call was for entrapment with fire but it did not turn out to be that way,” Bagley …
