Foxborough Public Schools to Get Longer Winter Break Next Year
Here's a closer look at the Foxborough Public Schools 2013-14 academic calendar, which was approved by the school committee at its Jan. 7 meeting.
Foxborough students and staff will enjoy a longer winter break in 2013 as the school committee approved an academic calendar that features eight days off over the holidays. “It’s an awkward calendar next year because Christmas falls on a Wednesday,” said Foxborough Schools Superintendent Debra Spinelli. “We could actually be in session if we wanted to [on Monday, Dec. 23] but we just weren’t sure it was going to be a real useful day. That’s the draft we put forward.
