Thursday, May 23: 8:44 p.m. – Jordan T. Bombardier, 20, of Foxborough, was arrested and charged with assault and battery, default warrant, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (lit cigarette) and intimidating a witness following a domestic disturbance at Belcher Lane residence. Police reported an abandoned 911 call came from a residence on Belcher Lane and no answer on call back. Police responded to the area to check on the residence and reported a “possible domestic disturbance.” Police spoke to the victim of the alleged assault and advised her of her 209A rights, which she declined.

Heightened security measures at Gillette Stadium include upgrading the stadium’s pat down procedure, adjusting security checkpoint locations and scanning at bag check stations.
The NFL’s safest stadium is expected to heighten its security of future events in the aftermath of the attacks on the Boston Marathon in April. Foxborough Police Chief Edward O’Leary and Gillette Stadium Security Director Mark Briggs are working on a plan to enhance security measures, including security check protocol, at Gillette Stadium. Among the enhancements will be upgrading the stadium’s pat down procedure and adjusting security checkpoint locations, according to Stadium Advisory Committee chair George Bell. Also being discussed is to include scanning at bag check stations. On April 27th – just 12 days after the bombings at the Boston Marathon – Gillette Stadium operated the New England Revolution match under heightened security. …

Saturday, May 25: 8:24 a.m. – Caller from a Maple Avenue rental unit reported his landlord kicked in his door and attempted to assault him with a stick. Police responded and confirmed there was a forced entry to the caller’s unit by the landlord, who lives in another unit at the Maple Avenue residence. John H. Slade, 48, of 9 Maple St., Apt. #2, Foxborough, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering daytime for felony, armed, person in fear and malicious destruction of property over $250.

Foxborough and Sharon police say the person responsible for a series of bus radio thefts is a 26-year-old Sharon man.
UPDATE (5:33 p.m., May 23, 2013) - Police have identified the man they believe is responsible for several bus radio thefts in Foxborough and Sharon after another break-in occurred this week. Foxborough police detective Timothy O'Leary, working with Sharon police, conducted an investigation following a string of bus radios thefts in both towns and was able to identify the suspect as a 26-year-old Sharon man, according to Foxborough police via its Facebook page. Police said there have been three break-ins at the Foxborough bus yard on Elm Street and multiple radios - valued at $250 each - have been stolen. As a result of the recent investigation, police say they have recovered some of the stolen equipment. The investigation is ongoing and …

Foxborough police are looking for a male suspect (pictured above) believed to be involved in a shoplifting incident that occurred Monday night at the CVS Pharmacy on Central Street. "At approximately 7 p.m. [Monday] a shoplifting offense occurred at the CVS Pharmacy on Central Street," police said via its Facebook page. "[The male suspect] entered the CVS Pharmacy, proceeded to the fragrance section, and attempted to open the locked display case. Unsuccessful, the male party proceeded to the electric razor display and used a device to deactivate the locking mechanism." Doherty, who served the department for over 37 years, passed away on May 8th.
The Foxborough Police Department announced Wednesday that retired officer Paul A. Doherty has passed away. “It is with deep sorrow that the Foxborough Police Department announces the death of retired Patrolman Paul A. Doherty on May 8, 2013,” police said in a statement issued on its Facebook page. “Paul served the citizens of Foxborough for over 37 years. Paul took great pride in being a police officer and in helping people. He will be remembered by many as the officer who oversaw the restoration, and often drove, ‘Cappy’ the police department’s crime prevention vehicle.” Doherty’s last assignment before retiring in 2009 was that of court prosecutor. “Paul will be deeply missed by his family and by the Foxborough Police Department,” police…
