Police Report 62 Custodies at Sunday’s Patriots-49ers Game at Gillette Stadium

The following is a summary of police activity and incidents reported from Sunday’s NFL regular season game between the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers at Gillette Stadium, as reported in Foxborough's police logs.

Editor’s note: The following information was provided by the Foxborough Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction. Sunday night’s New England Patriots football game at Gillette Stadium drew a crowd of 65,043; slightly less than the 65,435 at Gillette Stadium six days earlier to see the Pats take on the Houston Texans. Foxborough Police Chief Edward O’Leary said there were 54 people taken into protective custody Sunday night and eight people arrested. In addition to the 62 custodies reported, a caller at 6:31 p.m. told Foxborough Police a North Street resident was violating the town’s parking bylaw. Foxborough Police Arrest Over 100 at Country Fest Over the Weekend

Foxborough Police reported over 500 incidents at this past weekend’s New England Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium.

Foxborough’s ninth annual New England Country Music Festival headlining Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw at Gillette Stadium brought over 100,000 people to the area this past weekend, which resulted in 500 police incidents. According to Foxborough Police reports, there were 101 criminal arrests made during the two-day concert festival and close to an additional 500 concertgoers were taken into protective custody, which is separate from an arrest. Foxborough Police Chief Edward O’Leary said the majority of the arrests involved underage drinking. He added that there were some “traffic issues” during Friday’s show, which brought a crowd of 49,400 to Foxborough and yielded 61 arrests.
