Foxborough Knocks Off Mansfield for First Thanksgiving Day Win Since 2006
It was a memorable Thanksgiving Day in Mansfield for the Foxborough High School football team as it snapped a five-game losing streak against its longtime rival.
MANSFIELD – An elated Jack Martinelli watched with a proud smile as his Foxborough High School football team celebrated a thrilling, 27-21 Thanksgiving Day victory over rival Mansfield (7-4) at Alumni Field. “I could not be more thrilled with this win,” Martinelli said. “Terrific win … proud of all 34 of my seniors.” The win was Foxborough’s first against Mansfield since 2006, ending a five-game losing streak vs. the Hornets.
