Foxborough High School Drama Club to Perform ‘Anything Goes’ Musical Next Weekend

The FHS Drama Club’s spring musical will be held March 15-17 in the high school auditorium. Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults.

The Foxborough High School Drama Club has been busy prepping for next weekend’s spring musical, “Anything Goes” by Cole Porter, which will showcase the collective work of 22 FHS students. “Twenty-two students worked on and built the ship that is used for the set,” said Foxborough High School Drama Club Director Joan Marino. Students playing lead roles in the musical are: A student pit band will also be performing during the musical. Marino describes the production as a “hilarious musical comedy.” “A cast of zany characters, played by 18 students, is let loose on a ship heading to London,” said Marino. “With romance and slapstick comedy and gangsters and angels, chaos inevitably ensues.” The performances will be held from March 15-17 in the…

Check out these scenes from the Foxborough High School Drama Club's performance of 'Arsenic and Old Lace' this past weekend at FHS.

Forty-three Foxborough High School students impressed over the weekend with a fantastic performance of Joseph Kesselring's "Arsenic and Old Lace." The talented cast of 14 FHS Drama Club students brought Kesselring's play to life in 1941 Brooklyn. The three-act play took place inside the Brewster home where two "charming and innocent ladies populate their cellar with the remains of socially acceptable roomers." Rebecca Regan (Abby Brewster) and Sydney Raymond (Martha Brewster) shined in their roles as the Brewster sisters, perfectly portraying the simple and innocent nature of the women who in a word were killers. Foxborough High School Drama Club Presents ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ this Weekend

Nearly 30 FHS students are involved in this weekend's three shows - Nov. 16th, 17th and 18th at the FHS auditorium.

Foxborough High School’s Drama Club is set to take the stage this weekend for its fall production of “Arsenic and Old Lace.” The play will feature 13 FHS students on stage and an additional 15 students behind the scenes contributing to production, according to FHS Drama Club director Joan Marino, who is enjoying her second year in the role. “I enjoy picking plays that I think the students will enjoy, both performing and being part of the audience,” Marino said. “I want to expose them to some of the shows that I grew up with and make me the theatre enthusiast that I am today." Marino describes “Arsenic and Old Lace” as a “classic play and somewhat of a dark comedy” written by Joseph Kesselring. “We meet two charming and innocent ladies who …
