Foxborough receives $5,000 Grant For Loss Control And Safety Efforts

Foxborough has received a $5,000 grant that will be used to purchase a trench box and trench safety equipment.

As part of its commitment to safety and controlling costs, the town of Foxborough has received a $5,000 grant that will be used to purchase a trench box and trench safety equipment. The modular aluminum shoring system will be used by the department of public works when repairing and installing manholes. Trench boxes are used to stabilize work areas and prevent soil collapses that may occur when working in trenches. “The well being of our employees and residents is a top concern,” said Town Manager Kevin Paicos. “This equipment will help ensure both employee and public safety, and we are grateful to MIIA for making the grant available.” The Loss Control Grant is from the Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association (MIIA), the …
