Warriors defeated the East Boston Jets, 2-0 Monday at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Winless in their last six games, the Foxborough High School hockey team was determined to end the losing Monday night in a non-league contest against visiting East Boston. Their hard work was rewarded by two Aidan Hyland goals and a perfect night in net by FHS goalie Melissa Almeida enroute to a 2-0 victory over the Jets at the Foxboro Sports Center. The Warriors are now 5-8-1 on the season and will travel to Franklin on Saturday, Feb. 2 for a 6:30 p.m. game.

Police are on the lookout for two male suspects who have reportedly stole money and car keys from the locker rooms of three area hockey rinks. The two men allegedly entered the Iorio Arena on Route 1 in Walpole on Sunday, Dec. 30 and stole between $200 and $300 in cash from locker rooms while hockey players were on the ice, according to Walpole police. They go in and out of the locker rooms and take basically just cash and nothing else,” Iorio office manager Cathy Harrop told Walpole Patch.
