Auto Show is being held tonight at Patriot Place.
1. The Mass Cruisers Auto Club will be holding a show tonight, starting at 4:30 p.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops at Patriot Place. Foxborough Post 93 American Legion baseball manager, Peter Guy, says the three injured players from Monday's head-on collision "are going to be OK." The players were on their way to a game in Franklin Monday.
UPDATE (8:34 p.m.): Foxborough Post 93 American Legion baseball manager Peter Guy said the three injured players from Monday's crash "are going to be OK." "All the players seem to be doing OK," Guy said. "There seems to be some injuries involved, some pretty good injuries, but they are going to be OK." Guy said the three players injured in the crash were each transported to a different hospital. The player who was medflighted to Boston Medical has suffered a broken jaw, according to Guy. The second player involved in the crash is currently at Rhode Island Hospital and the third is at Norwood Hospital. After being on the road to start the season, the Foxboro American Legion baseball team will be playing at home tonight.
1. The Foxboro Legion Baseball team will be playing its home opener tonight against Norwood at 5:45 p.m. 2. The Burrell School will be holding its field day today for kindergarten. Good luck to all the competitors and have fun. 3. A lot of talent will be on the stage tonight at the Ahern School as the annual variety show is being held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. 4. 1. The Blue Hills Brewery Dinner will be tonight at Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro at Patriot Place at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $65. There will be a three course meal with desserts and hors d'oeuveres. 2. Post 93's hitting continues to struggle against Franklin.
Foxborough Post 93 fell to 3-7 Sunday after dropping both games of a doubleheader to Franklin Post 75 on their home field. Franklin won the first game, 10-1, and the second game, 9-3. Foxboro, plagued by hitting woes all season continued to struggle offensively as they totaled just nine hits through the two games while allowing 24. “We’re just too anxious at the plate right now” said Foxboro head coach Billy Travers after the game. In game one, Franklin got started early, tallying three runs in the first as Foxboro starter Tom Savageau walked four batters followed by a two-run single by Brandon Eccher.
