'Brighten Someone's Day' Campaign Will Benefit Local Food Pantries

Sharon Credit Union donates $4,000 to local food pantries.

During the months of February and March, the Sharon Credit Union will donate $4,000 to local food pantries to support the "Brighten Someone's Day" campaign.  The "Brighten Someone's Day" campaign is designed to aid local food pantries by using Sharon Credit Union branches as collection sites for laundry detergent. According to the press release by Sharon Credit Union, "food isn't the only item found on grocery lists. There is a significant need for other necessities, such as laundry detergent." Laundry detergent is often overlooked as a necessity for many families. "It was evident that other basic necessities were in demand, but either missing or in low supply.
