Irma Elizabeth Harrington, 98, passed away on Jan. 3, 2013 at the Doolittle Home in Foxborough. She was a longtime resident of Arlington and retired secretary for Bentley University.

Irma Elizabeth Harrington, age 98, died on Jan. 3 at the Doolittle Home in Foxborough. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Louisa (Gomille) Geissler. Irma was born in Radeberg, Germany on June 29, 1914. She was a longtime resident of Arlington and has been a resident of the Doolittle Home for the past eight years. She was a secretary for Bentley University for over 15 years until retiring in 1979. She was the mother of the late Michael A. Harrington and sister of the late Helmet Geissler. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, Foxborough. The Doolittle Home in Foxborough is preparing for their Annual Open House on Oct. 2 from 2:00-4:00 pm
George Burns once said, “You can't help getting older, but you don't have to get old.” These words came to mind when entering The Doolittle Home located on Bird Street. Patch was greeted by DeAnna Willis, Executive Director and Allison Lux Nuovo, Marketing Director at the impressive and well-known retirement facility located just off the Common and directly across from Foxboro Public Library. Patch was welcomed by energetic and friendly staff displaying pride and enthusiasm for their “special home,” and its sixteen occupants.
