Christina’s Former Owners Keeping Reputations Intact Through 'Difficult Situation'

Despite legal disputes and financial concerns, Chris Spinazzola and Marjorie Clapprood – former owners of Christina's Fireside Grille – continue to act in the best interest of their former clients and employees.

The reputations of Chris Spinazzola and Marjorie Clapprood as outstanding business owners in Foxborough have preceded them despite an ongoing financial dispute that forced a change in ownership at Christina’s Fireside Grille this past June. “The partners in business and in life,” as Clapprood says, are the former owners of the Route 1 function hall in Foxborough and attended last week’s public hearing for Christina’s liquor license transfer at the Foxborough Board of Selectmen meeting. The transfer involved MJ Holding Corporation, which Spinazzola and Clapprood are principle owners of to D&N Corporations and the property’s landlord, Nicholas Panagopolous. Chris Spinazzola and Marjorie Claprood are good people. I find their version of events the more credible. I will miss Christina's Fireside Grille, the best venue in Foxborough for reasonably priced good food in a cozy atmosphere, and wish Spinazzola and Claprood the best.   more ›

Around Town: Selectmen Transfer Christina’s Liquor License; Parking Bylaw Update, Block Party and More

Here’s a brief summary of topics discussed at Tuesday’s Foxborough Board of Selectmen meeting.

After more than a hour-long hearing Tuesday, the Board of Selectmen voted 3-1 in favor of transferring the all alcohol restaurant license from MJ Holding Corporation to D&N Corporation DBA Christina’s Fireside Grille on three conditions: Christina’s landlord Nicholas Panagopoulos, of D&N Corporation, agreed to those conditions and gave the town of Foxborough a check for $9,376.40 – the full amount owed in police details required for previous events at Christina's – at Tuesday’s meeting. DeVellis opposed the transfer while selectman Virginia Coppola was absent from Tuesday’s meeting.
