Heroes are all around us, yet more times than not they go unnoticed and unappreciated. So as a way to give back to our heroes - policemen, firemen, paramedics, war veterans, soldiers and military personnel - Bass Pro Shops is opening its doors Sunday, Dec. 9 for a night of special activities and all local heroes and their immediate families are invited to attend. Bass Pro Shops and the Hudson Valley DockDogs hosted a DockDogs Regional Competition to the enjoyment of hundreds of human and canine spectators alike.
The "Dog Days of Summer" were in full swing at the Bass Pro Shops at Patriot Place this past Saturday as dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes took part in the Regional Competitions of Big Air, Speed Retrieve and Extreme Vertical Canine Aquatics. "Wilson," "Fenway," and "Addie" were just some of the dogs that enjoyed jumping into the pool, while "Teagan" and "Nova" put on the brakes at the edge of the dock rather than jump in to retrieve their floaty toy. All dogs were welcome to participate. Some were seasoned veterans while others were first-timers, but the spectators enjoyed watching each and every one of them. Many dogs were able to compete in the Big Air with jumps ranging from two to over 20 feet. But fewer dogs competed in the …

Auto Show is being held tonight at Patriot Place.

This is the last day to sign up for youth soccer and the fishing derby.
1. The Burrell School will be putting on Seussical Jr. Friday, June 1 at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Tickets are $4. 2. New England Revolution midfielder Zak Boggs is a judge at the Bass Pro Shop Chili Bowl Cook-Off.
New England Revolution midfielder Zak Boggs will be a guest judge at the Bass Pro Shop Chili Bowl Cook-Off at Patriot Place in Foxborough, Mass., on Saturday, March 31. Boggs will meet with fans and serve as an official judge in the contest, sampling entries from eight Patriot Place restaurants. The event is open to the general public. Fans are welcome to come meet Boggs, and media are invited to attend. Tickets are $3 per person or $10 per family, and benefit the Hockomock Area YMCA’s ‘Reach Out for Youth and Families’ campaign.
