Chester Cekaka Sr. Chester Cekala Sr. 81, the founder and former president of the family-owned Willow Tree Poultry in Attleboro and a resident of North Attleboro and East Falmouth, died January 12, 2013.  He was cherished husband and best friend of Eileen R. (Polefka) Cekala to whom he would have joyfully celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 21. His was father of two caring sons: Chester Cekala, Jr. and his wife, Carol L. (Raleigh) Cekala, of Weston and Walter Cekala and his wife, Lynda P. (Van Dusen) Cekala, of North Attleboro, grandfather of six adored grandchildren: Allison, Christopher, Alexander, Nicholas, Samuel and Andrew Cekala, great grandfather of a loved great grandchild: Ava. Foxborough to Fly Flag at Half-Mast Saturday for Retired Treasurer/Tax Collector

The town of Foxborough will mourn the loss of retired treasurer and tax collector Barbara Germaine Saturday by lowering the flag on the Common to half mast.

The town of Foxborough will pay respect to one of its own Saturday by flying the Town Common's American flag at half-mast. Barbara Germaine served the town for over 23 years as Foxborough's collector/treasure. She passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was 75 years old.  "The town of Foxborough will fly our Town Common American flag at half-mast on Saturday in recognition of the passing of Barbara Germaine and her many years of professional and personal service to town hall and our community," said Foxborough Board of Selectmen chair James DeVellis.
