Update: Norfolk County Sheriff Deputy Dies in Walpole I-95 Crash
The accident involved a sheriff's office motorcycle, and two cars, state police say.
A Norfolk County Sheriff's deputy has died after an accident involving a department motorcycle and two cars on Interstate 95 in Walpole this morning, state police say. An ambulance took the deputy Ryan Tvelia, 42, of Plainvile to a local hospital after the 7:40am crash on I-95 North, north of Exit 9 in Sharon, police said in a press release. "[The] preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the motorcycle was involved in a collision with one car and then was struck in a secondary collision with a second car," the release reads.
