Foxborough town planner Susan Wason said the construction for the rink expansion project at the Foxboro Sports Center has begun in earnest in May. “The developer had it approved and he’s broken ground,” she said. Wason said the preparations and demolition of a building in the lot will commence in a few days. “The metal frame building sits in what will be the parking lot,” she said. “These two rows of parking are in, but the building is still sitting down. They just got the gas turned off, so they’re going to start to tear the building down and rough up the rest of the parking lot.” She added that for construction of the actual addition to the center to begin, the developer, Rich Touzos, has wait until May 23 to allow anyone to appeal the …

Getting to Know Patriots Rookie Defensive End Michael Buchanan

The New England Patriots drafted Illinois defensive end Michael Buchanan with the 226th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

With the 226th overall pick in the seventh round, the New England Patriots picked their fourth defensive player of the draft when they selected Illinois defensive end Michael Buchanan. The 6-foot-5, 255-pounder is "an extremely lean edge defender that needs to get bigger and stronger," according to NFL.com. "He flashes violent hands on the edge, covers a lot of ground off the edge, has one of the better first steps in the class and has shown good motor as a pass-rushing defensive end (7.5 sacks in 2011)," NFL.com reports. "Not to mention, he can handle short-area coverage responsibilities when asked to stand up as a linebacker. That sort of scheme versatility will be valued by NFL teams, but they need to get to find the cause of his poor …

He's a great kid. Hope he has a long career with the Pats. I really like his respectful tone answering questions "yes sir". Josh was an outstanding receiver at TCU. He could break games open by going deep and he was the Frogs "go-to" receiver when they really needed a first down of short TD. Sad that he decided to not stay another year, but we certainly wish him the best - Frog Fan   more ›
