The Foxborough Fire Department provides emergency services to the businesses and citizens in town. Fire safetyMore education, inspection and investigative services are also available. Four full-time rotating groups of professional firefighters, consisting of one fire captain and six firefighters, are always on call.

The department employs 28 full-time and professional firefighters. The staff also includes a fire chief, deputy fire chief, and a secretary. Fire Chief Roger P. Hatfield supervises all of the Foxborough Fire Department's operations.

The Steamer Shed

The Steamer Shed was built as a project of the Foxborough Historical Commission in 1979  to house the originalMore two pieces of fire apparatus purchased by the Fire Company that later became the Foxborough Fire Department.

Visitors can view through the large windows on the front of the building the 1851 Pumper and 1872 Steamer.  The Steamer Shed is open on special occasions and by prior arrangement with groups interested in touring Memorial Hall – the town archives and museum.
